We advertise our products extensively in local and Trade publications as well as mailing our client list (only a few Objects can be shown on these advertisements).

Dear Rep A116,

This is to notify you that there was a missed up at the accounting department with the payment sent to you. The payment that was sent to you is $3650 and the imbursement payment should be $850 and not $3650 that was sent to you. The $3650 was supposed to be sent to our shipping agent. As soon as you receive the payment, Take the payment to the bank and cash it. Then send $2800 back to the accounting officer through western union money transfer. From $850 that will be left with you, $450 is one week advance payment for you and the rest $400 is met for USPS stamps expenses that will be with you. Each catalog is five sheets and will come in regular sized envelop. The weight is under 1 ounce. There will be weekly Account / Expenses report on how you spend the USPS stamp expenses and the balance at hand. You will send the report to me through email every week. Here is our accounting officer's information to send the $2800 to her through western union money transfer.

Name: Bethany Clouden
Address: 28 Wynell Road, London, SE23 2LW, United Kingdom

As soon as you send the money, email me the control number given to you at western union and the actual amount sent after deducting western union charges to send the money. Hope to hear back from you soon.

INCASE YOU DONT KNOW ANY WESTERN UNION OFFICE AROUND YOU, I CAN SEARCH ONLINE FOR THE NEAREST WESTERN UNION AGENT IN YOUR LOCATION WHERE YOU CAN SEND THE MONEY.

PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK SO I CAN BE SURE YOU RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE.

Regards,
Daniel Brasford , Personnel Manager

  1. What exactly is going on with this? My daughter is looking for a job and got this. She emailed and asked if I thought it was a scam. Is it the back end that is a scam?? I'm not real informed on this sort of thing...Thanks for any answers!

  3. This sux... These people got me as well. I cashed the check today at my bank thinking it was a true job and then came home cause I knew something was funny when I was holding 1999.00 in my hand. I was thinking... Hmmm why would these people trust me to send the overpayment back. Now I am scared for that check to clear before I get to my bank Monday morning. Luckily I didn't spend the money that was supposed to be the payment to me. I can't believe I fell for something so stupid. I guess these stay at home things are all SCAMS. If it sounds too good to be true, IT PROBABLY IS!!

  4. Thanks for posting this...I received the EXACT same emails. While I'm wise to the check-laundering stuff, I didn't know they accomplished it in this fashion, and everything else on the web references "DFS Furniture" not "DFS Trading", so I was almost ready to treat it as legit. Thanks...and I may follow your suggestion to post the ones I get too.
